South Texas Children’s Home Ministries (STCHM) is governed by a board of 24 volunteer directors elected by the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Each director is elected to a three-year term and may serve on one or more of the following board committees: Executive, Ministries, Personnel, and Budget and Audit. The directors oversee the work of all ministries in carrying out the STCHM mission of Honoring God, Reaching Hurting Children and Families with His Love and Truth, and Enabling Others to Join Us in this Ministry. STCHM directors come from different cities throughout Texas and bring a vast array of knowledge, experience and expertise to the task of governing the Children’s Home. Their love for children and their commitment to STCHM’s mission is evident as they meet throughout the year.
