As Sponsor Director, I want to invite you to join us as a Cottage Sponsor for one of our cottages. Each Cottage Sponsor will receive an annual photo of the family they are sponsoring and will receive periodic updates on what their sponsored family is doing.

By joining us as a Cottage Sponsor, you are providing an enormous financial support to the ministry of South Texas Children’s Home and are assisting our house parents in doing the things that other families enjoy on a regular basis, like having an occasional dinner out with their cottage family.

If you, your organization, Sunday school class, or business would like to become a Cottage Sponsor, please e-mail me or call me at 361-375-2101. I will then be able to pair you with a cottage and will provide you with information and envelopes to assist you in making this program a success.

STCH Cottage Sponsorship enables donors to invest in the lives of our families. Here are some examples of what a cottage sponsor will provide throughout the year.

  • January through December Birthday gifts and celebrations for up to 8 children per cottage;

  • January through December cottage outing for dinner, movie or special event;

  • January through December Cottage allowance

  • January Tack and western wear for stock show

  • February Valentine gifts

  • March Easter clothes and Easter Baskets

  • April Summer clothes

  • May Graduation gifts

  • June Family vacation for the cottage

  • July Summer camp

  • August Back to school clothes

  • September School supplies

  • October Basketball shoes for student athletes

  • November Special meal for Thanksgiving

  • December Christmas Gifts

 
Through Cottage Sponsorship, donors who commit to a monthly contribution will provide a specific cottage with money for family outings, birthday and holiday celebrations, school and extracurricular activities (cheerleading, sports participation, 4-H and FFA projects, etc), clothing, summer camps, and other activities that are enjoyed by the children and family as a whole.
