Prayer is one of the greatest resources we possess. Prayer allows us to communicate with our Heavenly Father. Countless numbers of people have experienced the life-changing power of prayer. It brings hope to difficult situations and comfort during trying circumstances. The ministry of South Texas Children's Home began with the prayer of Mrs. Laura Boothe Overby to help children have a home. Her prayer was, “What can I do to help children?”

By praying for the kids of South Texas Children's Home, transforming results will take place. Lives are changed, hope is restored and the future has purpose for these children. Prayer is powerful! Prayer has provided wonderful house parents, loving cottages, caring caseworkers and new beginnings for the children in our care.
