In 2006, STCH Ministries launched our International ministry program, first reaching out to the Dominican Republic. We value collaborating with local partners for Kingdom work. When we co-labor, or labor with our brothers and sisters in Christ overseas, God moves in the work and accomplishes something greater than we can envision.
We have Dominican ministry team members who assist with all mission efforts and follow up on mission projects to promote ongoing and long-term success. One of our goals is to ensure that local Christians continue to minister to those reached by our short-term mission efforts.
Although much of our mission work takes place in the Santo Domingo area, we are expanding to cover more of the island.
Beginning in the spring of 2022, we made the first of several trips to El Salvador which included staff, our Dominican partners and U.S. pastors and leaders. Both in the Peniel churches and their leadership, we discovered the matching focus and heart of STCH Ministries.
The Peniel network of churches was aptly named after the place where the Jewish patriarch, Jacob, met with God face-to-face. There, God changed Jacob’s name to Israel, and his life was never the same. The Peniel churches create opportunities for Gospel change through meeting practical life needs, impacting families and growing disciples.

Belize is a small country bordering Mexico and Guatemala along the eastern Gulf Coast. In 2020, our Dominican ministry partner, Russell Jerez, first visited Belize. As he shared about STCH Ministries’ work with children and families internationally, God laid a strong desire on the hearts of the Belizean believers for STCH Ministries to partner with them in the northern Belize villages.
They began to pray. Five years later, God answered that prayer as we began to explore opportunities for family mission trips to that area. Originally colonized as British Honduras, the official language is English, although most people speak Spanish or an Indian dialect in their homes. Northern Belize is not a popular tourist destination, so economic need and opportunity are significant. Their faith and dedication to Christ make this area an exciting opportunity for ministry expansion to children and families.
