Eron Green serves as the President/CEO of South Texas Children’s Home Ministries. Eron has been described as a visionary leader and has spent much of his professional career working with ministries that meet the needs of children and families. Eron’s philosophy on life and ministry are the same: excellence, accountability, integrity, vision, and glory (to God).
Originally from Tibbie, Alabama, Green holds a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Troy State University. He also earned a master‘s of arts degree in communication, with a concentration in family and organizational communication, from Eastern New Mexico University. Eron is an accomplished speaker and trainer on various topics related to leadership, motivation, management, childcare, business operations, and other factors that affect organizations.
Eron previously served at childcare agencies in Texas, New Mexico, and Florida where he oversaw residential programs, emergency shelters, foster care, adoptions, maternity care counseling, adult ministries, and outlying social work offices, as well as being involved in international childcare efforts.
Eron and his wife, Shelley, have two children – Harper and Deacon. They are members of First Baptist Church in Beeville and have a passion for ministry. Shelley is actively involved in the MOPS program at First Baptist Church Beeville and is on the school board for the First Baptist Church School.
Originally from Valdosta, Georgia, Kyle Luke and his wife, Cara, both graduated with a BA in Church Music from The Baptist College of Florida. Kyle then continued his education at Florida State University to receive his Master of Public Administration degree specializing in Nonprofit Management.
After graduation, Kyle served as Director of Admissions and then Director of Development at The Baptist College of Florida before moving into development and administration at Florida Baptist Children’s Homes. For 16 years, he served bi-vocationally as a minister of music in several churches and enjoys being active in choir. He now serves as Vice President of Development and Communications at STCH Ministries.
Kyle’s experience in adoptions, residential care, foster care, and maternity and family care has shaped his spiritual and intellectual foundation of service, as well as his approach to development. He believes his work in development allows him to fulfill his full-time call to serve children and families and to make a difference in the culture in which he lives.
Kyle and Cara have been married since 1999 and have three wonderful sons – Garet, Grayson and Gabe. Kyle and his family worship at First Baptist Church, Beeville, and Cara teaches at Moreno Middle School.
Mark has served with STCH Ministries since 1982, and in his current position since 1995. Mark grew up in the central Texas area and received his bachelor’s degree from Howard Payne University in 1981. He later received his master’s in Counseling from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi in 1986.
Mark currently holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) license and is also licensed as a Child Care Administrator by the State of Texas. He serves as a board member for the Association of Christian Childcare Administrators and the Texas Coalition of Homes for Children. He has also served on the boards of various groups focusing on special education and coordination of site base and community resources, among others.
Mark and his wife Dru have a son, Colton, who currently works and resides in New York, and a daughter, Amy, who is a first grade teacher living in Central Texas with her family. They have a grandson, Sam, who keeps Mimi and Papi busy.
Mark believes Yogi Berra’s quote, “It Ain’t Over till It’s Over,” summarizes the philosophy and lifetime commitment STCH Ministries has toward those entrusted to its care. He enjoys sharing about STCH Ministries with churches and groups, and is available to preach and fill pulpits when needed.
Boothe Campus Administrator (Homes for Children)
Boothe Campus Administrator has been Greg’s position of ministry since 1996. He began his ministry at South Texas Children’s Home Ministries as a caseworker in 1991, and later held the positions of Activities Director and then Marshall Campus Administrator, prior to assuming his current role on Boothe Campus.
Greg earned his doctorate through New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and he currently holds a Child Care Administrator license from the State of Texas. He also serves as a board member of both the Association of Christian Childcare Administrators and the Texas Coalition of Homes for Children.
Greg is a trainer for the American Red Cross, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and Texas Parks and Wildlife. Prior to coming to the Children’s Home, he worked in youth ministry and has served as an interim Youth Minister in South Texas. Greg is married to Susan and they have three children, and one granddaughter. Pawnee Baptist Church is the Huskey family’s church and place of ministry.
Rev. Tim Williams
Tim Williams grew up in the Victoria area and has been serving in Christian ministry for over 27 years. He currently serves as Director of Church Relations, connecting churches with STCH Ministries and finding ways we can minister to their needs. He is also available for pulpit supply as part of our Pastor Care ministry.
Tim is a graduate of both Texas A&M University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Masters of Divinity. His past experience makes him uniquely qualified for his position at STCH Ministries, having served previously as a STCH board member and as a senior pastor at First Baptist Church Kenedy where some of our cottage families attend. He also served as senior pastor at Northside Baptist Church in Victoria for 12 years.
Tim and Judith were married in 1984. They have two daughters: Kelley, who is married to a youth pastor named Chris, and Meredith. Both of their daughters have hearts for ministry like their parents. In their free time, Tim and Judith enjoy working in the yard together, spending time on the family’s property in Hope, Texas, and hiking in the Rocky Mountains.
Former Residential Administrator and Interim CEO
Homer Hanna first became a part of STCH Ministries in 1977, serving in a number of roles including Vice President for Church Relations and Interim President and CEO. Prior to coming to STCH Ministries, Homer attended Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, serving churches in Uvalde, Hereford, and San Antonio, as well as serving on the staff of the University of Corpus Christi (now TAMU-CC). He was born in Brownsville and he and Marilyn have 3 children and 7 grandchildren.
Terry surrendered to full time ministry as a sixteen year old boy. While attending Southwest Texas State University, he was employed as an Assistant Dormitory Director for San Marcos Baptist Academy. Upon graduation, he was hired by Amoco Production Company and moonlighted as an emergency foster parent and crisis hotline counselor. In 1984, he began attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, while he worked as a full-time houseparent for Texas Pythian Home in Weatherford, Texas, and as a caseworker for All Church Home in Fort Worth. Terry became a caseworker for Marshall Ranch Campus at South Texas Children’s Home for four years before becoming licensed and ordained as a minister. He served as a youth minister, associate pastor, and senior pastor for the next 19 years. In 2010, Terry and his wife, Sheila, returned to STCH Ministries Homes for Children as houseparents and have thoroughly enjoyed serving in this capacity. They have 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
Terry Wilkins has been a houseparent at STCH Ministries Homes for Children since the summer of 2009. During that time he has done pulpit supply in many area churches and led several revivals. With the heart of a teacher and a love for music, he began ministering in 1965 and has served in various roles as a youth pastor, music minister, and pastor. He is an ordained deacon and licensed and ordained minister of the gospel. Terry holds his bachelor’s degree in music with minors in education and English. He is married to Virginia and they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
